A green frog, also known as edible frog, common water frog or Pelophylax kl. Esculentus is a common European frog that is used for food, especially in France. It is cross between the pool frog and the marsh frog and can often take over ponds and threaten the other species. It is mating season and what you hear are the mating calls. Location: Lund, Sweden.
